Candidates are not required to be fully conversant with
the content of any other Unit. Communication
Principles and processes of effective communications;
applying them to a Quality Assurance Policy; encouraging and responding to feedback.
- A case for quality; publicising the case internally and externally; having alternatives
ready; publicising the organisations achievements; gaining explicit commitment
to quality.
Quality
management
- Organisation missions; objectives,
strategies, values and policies; opportunities for creating/maintaining awareness
of quality and evaluating the contribution of increased awareness.
- Organisation structure; identification of responsibilities; key decision makers;
formats for presenting information.
- Quality concepts,
philosophies and methods; advantages and disadvantages of
different approaches;
importance of performance measurement systems; range of documented systems for
quality assurance and their benefits.
- Developing,
communicating, implementing and monitoring quality policies and
strategies;
helping people clarify their vision of quality; inconsistencies and conflicts.
