Level 3 provides an Introduction and a Full Certificate in First Line Management (VRQ for UK and IMQ for international students). These programmes aim to give practising and potential Managers the foundation for their formal development.

The programmes have two primary objectives:
to assist participants in gaining the basic knowledge required by a Manager to develop basic Management skills

Participants will normally be either practising or aspiring Managers. Whilst there are no formal educational requirements, learners should have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.

Successful participants may benefit from career enhancement, and/or may progress to:

Level 3 or 4 S/NVQ in Management depending upon their workplace responsibilities, Level 4 Diploma in Management another qualification at a suitable level within or outside the National Qualifications Framework as appropriate to their needs ILM Membership
