Introduction |
|

The ILM Level 3 Award and Certificate in Starting Your Enterprise
aims to provide candidates with the essential knowledge and
skills required by those starting their own business/enterprise,
or a discreet business unit within a larger organisation.
This could include a social enterprise, charity or co-operative.

|
There are no formal entry requirements, but participants
will:
- normally seriously be considering starting their own business/enterprise,
and have a business/enterprise idea on which to base their
development, or be embarking on the management of a distinct
business unit within a larger organisation; and
- have appropriate communication and numeracy skills or
the opportunity to develop them on the programme. This is
likely to be Level 2 Key Skills Literacy and Level 1 Key
Skills Numeracy, or their equivalent. Where intending learners
do not have this level of literacy and numeracy, Centres
may provide support prior to the start of the programme.
|
Candidates may progress to other programmes leading to various
business/enterprise start up or development programmes, or
leadership and management qualifications at the same or higher
levels depending on their individual requirements.
