Before candidates are
registered on the eprogramme course sponsors need to select optional elements
that satisfy the organisational/individual need but within criteria to ensure
ILM compliance. Optionality exists in regard to ebriefing, WBAs (Level 3
& 4) and workshop content design, duration and frequency. The
system has an in-built schedule to periodically and automatically email the participant
with instructions in regard to where they are and what they need to be doing and
when. These instructions will typically include assignment and project briefs,
preparation for knowledge tests and preparation for workshops. A
personal training plan will open for each module (see My eprogrammes
on the systems home page. Clicking on the eprogramme will display the participants
personal training plan and enable them to register for that modules ebriefings.
Upon successful completion of a registered ebriefing CPD hours are awarded
see Personal records eBriefing history and CPD
hours history. The system will advice the participant when they can sit
their optional module knowledge test and what the result was. Their personal training
plan is then updated and test questions the participant failed to get right are
displayed and the related elearning bites are emailed daily one at a time for
refresher study. |
Should any participant fail their test a period of refresher training is
built in and they will then be allowed a test resit.
When
participants have successfully completed all the required assessed elements then
they will be moved to the next module. (Though earlier modules will remain open
for refresher learning). We recommend clients design
and issue to participants a "key learning points - application to their company"
form.

For
blended learning courses these forms can be produced and reviewed at the end of
each workshop day and subsequently reviewed by the participant's line manager
when producing a PDP in support of a WBA. We recommend that participants nominate
a "review manager" to manage this process (i.e. on a rotating basis)
and also to conduct a short group discussion on their thoughts and experiences
following each major "break away" exercise to consolidate learning and
its application before moving on and to lead the end of day review.
Candidates
are empowered and must accept responsibility for their learning.
