ILM Level 3- Award in Workplace Coaching - awarded by The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM)
Introduction
The ILM Level 3 Award in Workplace Coaching for Team Leaders and First Line Managers aims to equip practising and potential team leaders and first line managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as workplace coaches as part of their normal work role.	There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will normally be practising team leaders or first line managers. They should normally have successfully completed the ILM Level 2 Award or Certificate in Team Leading or the ILM Level 3 Award, Certificate or Diploma in First Line Management, or an equivalent qualification. Exceptional candidates who have no formal qualification in team leading or first line management, but who have several years' experience and completed some formal training in the role, may also participate. Candidates should normally also possess communication skills equivalent to Key Skill Level 2 in Communication or receive additional support to enable them to achieve this level in the course of the programme.
Candidates may progress to qualifications leading to various learning and development management qualifications in training, assessment and verification, or to management qualifications at higher levels. Candidates who have completed the ILM Level 3 Award in Workplace Coaching for Team Leaders and First Line Managers may progress to the ILM Level 3 Certificate for Professional Workplace Coaches or to the ILM Level 5 management qualifications in coaching and mentoring.
