The CIPD's Certificate in Training Practice (CTP)
is the most widely recognised qualification for those seeking success and credibility
in the field of training and development. The programme enables training and development
professionals to develop the expertise to understand, identify, deliver and evaluate
training within their organisation.
The
Certificate is a uniquely flexible, modular programme which leads to Associate
membership of the CIPD upon successful completion. This is an ideal programme
for those who require a means of professional recognition in the field of training
and development, and is a skills-based rather than an academic programme.
A
key benefit of this Certificate is its flexibility allowing students to balance
requirements of the programme with other work and personal commitments. To assist
them in their studies, students have open access to extensive online learning
and support materials via a dedicated Learner Support Site.
There
are now two alternative ways of studying for the Certificate:
The
Modular programme gives students the flexibility to complete the programme at
a pace that suits them and their outside commitments. Students are required to
complete the Certificate within two years.

The Certificate in Training Practice is aimed at
hands-on trainers as well as those in the training and development functions who
require a practical understanding of the training process.
